Ballara Art & Lifestyle Retreat

Ballara is more than just a beautiful century-old stone home with large rooms, grand hallway, parlour and spectacular views to the nearby ocean. Ballara is high-end vintage accommodation providing arts-based holiday packages, tailor-made to suit couples (or up to six guests) perfectly.

Located at Warooka on the Yorke Peninsula, Ballara is approximately 2.5hrs from Adelaide.

The large property includes a huge lawned area (Mrs. Baker’s Backyard) complete with a barbecue shed and fire-pit. The semi-enclosed verandah opens onto the lawn; ideal for evening meals outdoors.

An art retreat package includes accommodation, meals and workshop options for up to six guests. Workshop ideas are endless – suggest your passion and we’ll aim to please. Local artists specializing in visual art lessons (oils, sketching etc), photography, yoga and a spa-style massage are readily available. And of course, being Yorkes, we can facilitate surf lessons!

Ballara has three bedrooms (a queen, double, and two singles), shared bathroom and second toilet. The kitchen, sitting room and parlour/reading room are beautiful spaces, complete with vintage books and inspiration at every glance.
