Profile
Welcome to Pirama – situated on the shores of Lake Macquarie. This unique A-frame home is in an elevated position above the lake. The entire front is glass, with sweeping water views through the trees. You’ll be visited by myriad native birds, including kookaburras, lorikeets, butcher birds, cockatoos, galahs, and magpies. ‘Pirama’ is the word for ‘wild duck’ in the local Awabakal language and it won’t take you long to work out why you’ll see families with ducklings wandering across the road and down to the waterfront.
This home feels a mile from nowhere but the local conveniences are just down the road. The home is perfect for that relaxing getaway for a family or two couples. With the living area opening onto a deck area and the waterfront reserve and 180-degree water views. Here you can sit back and enjoy the sunset with a glass of wine, or just reading a book under the shade of the trees.
The house is built on two levels. Open-plan living area, kitchen, and bathroom are on the ground level, along with a bedroom with a double bed and a single. Upstairs, wake up in your king-size bed and you’ll feel you’re staying in a treehouse. There’s a desk and chair so you can work in peace if you can keep your eyes off the view!
