Profile
The Royal Hotel at Hill End is a unique place to visit for a historical experience. Built-in 1872, the hotel is heritage listed and offers a rustic charm for all ages to enjoy. All roads into town are now sealed and provide easy access for all vehicles.
Situated on three acres of lush grounds, the hotel has a plethora of trees and lawn, as well as a tranquil beer garden located out the back. A fully equipped bistro operates seven days a week providing a la carte lunches and dinners.
There is accommodation for 22 people available in various configurations, family rooms, doubles, twins or singles. A pool room with a log fire, pool table, jukebox, darts and TV is available to all and children are welcome in this area of the hotel.
In its heyday, Hill End had enough thirsty residents to service a whopping 28 pubs. Now, the Royal Hotel is the only remaining public house in town, offering drinks and dining in it’s licensed bar, or the family-friendly dining room or outdoor garden bistro.
Shoot some pool, check out the memorabilia from days of old, relax by the wood fire in winter, or refuel before discovering the heritage attractions and gold mining relics on a self-guided or guided tour.
