Shady Gums is a unique two bedroom holiday house. It is modern, spacious, suitable for families and couples. Shady Gums is perfect for those needing accessible facilities, having been purpose built with wheelchair access and varying needs in mind.
Surrounded by the spectacular Grampians National Park, in Victoria Australia. It is 2.4 kms from the Halls Gap town centre and there is a beautiful accessible path in front of Shady Gums that takes you to the village centre.
The house is set in amongst Eucalypt trees and has its own seasonal creek flowing through the property. The creek is visible from the main living area of Shady Gums. From the rear deck there is a footbridge over the creek to a private firepit.
Wildlife abound. There are Kangaroos, wallabies, emu, echidna, possums, and deer as well as the dozens of beautiful native birds that visit our bird bath and feeder. These are clearly visible from the bay window.
The Grampians is a great place to visit all year around. In winter spend time in front of the cosy wood fire and outdoor campfire. In spring the place is alive with wildflowers and fresh flowing creeks. In autumn the days are perfect and the nights fresh, great for walking and in summer there is are water based activities like fishing, canoeing, sailing, on the lakes and swimming in the town pool to be enjoyed.
