Blue Tongue Berries is a 20-acre organic blueberry farm located near Seymour in Central Victoria. They farm premium quality organic blueberries and sell to the local region.
Blue Tongue Berries also produce seasonal fruit, vegetables, free-range eggs and lamb. They believe in self-sufficient living and produce our own food, power and water. The farm is completely off the grid and runs on a hybrid solar and wind power system. The main building is constructed from straw bales and has an energy-efficient design. The property overlooks the stunning Tallarook Ranges and is a short distance from the Goulburn River, Lake Nagambie and several popular wineries.
The guest buildings include the Hacienda, a bespoke strawbale building which encompasses a passive heating and cooling design. The Hacienda contains the Great Hall function room for lounging, private functions and events, and contains 18s one and two. The Casita is an original weatherboard house that overlooks the blueberries and contains 18s three and four.
The Cantina is a cafe-style dining room that contains a commercial kitchen and produce store. Breakfast is served to guests in the Cantina on request.
