Coolac Cabins and Camping
is situated on “Galway Farm” and is owned by Myles and Louise Sullivan with their daughter Rachael now part of the team!
They bought the old, run down dairy farm in 1999. It was last used as a productive dairy farm more than thirty years ago. The property is situated on relatively flat ground, surrounded by hills and paddocks as far as the eye can see. You also get to take in the most amazing sunsets!
A new home site was selected and a double shed was erected to serve as the new garage for their future home. This shed soon became known as the “Country Club” as locals would gather here for weekly drinks. This garage today is the Games and TV room for the park as the house was never built. They actually renovated another farmhouse on the property.
Environmentally, over 5000 trees have been planted which now attracts over 25 species of native birds. Waking up to the birds in the mornings is wonderful.
2020 was a big year for improvements: a swimming pool; a fairy garden; a bore water fed creek full of fish, running to the new farm dam, and a new “Glamping Tent” which is the icing on the cake for the property.
In 2005, Myles and Louise built 2 cabins on the original homestead site which they leased out and the seed for running a farmstay and camping ground was planted.
The third Cabin was built in 2011 next to the Games and TV room, followed by the caravan and camping facilities, officially opened on October 11, 2018.
On offer for the caravaners and campers is a fantastic amenities block, a fully equipped camp kitchen, 14 powered sites and a number of unpowered sites.
