The Fosterton Schoolhouse was built in 1914, and operated as an infant and primary school until its closure in 1964. It was used as a residence for some years, and now has been renovated for use as serviced accommodation.
The Schoolhouse is set within a private two acre property on the picturesque Fosterton loop, just seven kilometres from the township of Dungog.
The Schoolhouse has been restored with an eye for keeping the original features and character. It has an open plan living area with polished boards throughout. Unwind and relax in this peaceful setting or explore the local attractions.
Dungog is located at the foothills of the Barrington Tops World Heritage listed National Park. Situated along the Williams River in the north of the Hunter Valley, the township is just an hour from Newcastle and Port Stephens, two hours from Sydney and thirty minutes from the Pacific or New England Highway.
