The Gidgee, as the locals call it, is an ideal base from which to plan your outback experience. You can walk to town and view its history, architecture and lovely gardens. Fish in the river or travel to outlying attractions, such as, Mount Gundabookas Aboriginal rock art.
The accommodation wing surrounds a large courtyard, with all rooms opening onto the lawn and gardens. Built in 1938 by the Tancred Bros, the wings rooms still retain a heritage style.
