Martinsell Manor, a historical, stately, stone building is set on 77 acres in beautiful surroundings within the picturesque Barossa Valley. The impressive guest suites have recently been renovated and include high ceilings, quality Georgian and Chippendale furniture, and Persian carpets on polished floorboards.
The accommodation is self-contained in the separate downstairs area of the Manor. The main entrance door is your own private access leading into a spacious lounge and dining area.
A magnificent piece of South Australian history, this turn of the century home has played host to some prominent Australian and international aristocrats, politicians and business people. The grand rooms and opulent architecture give glimpses of a bygone era.
Martinsell is approximately one hour drive from Adelaide, and 8km from Williamstown, off the Springton Road. There is a general store, hotel and bakery in Williamstown – your last port of call for any provisions. The nearest large supermarket is about 20 minutes’ drive.
There is a small kitchenette with a ceramic hotplate, microwave, kettle, toaster and fridge for the provided breakfast and the preparation of light meals.
Transport in the area is limited to private taxis or your own vehicle.
