Profile
The Old Council Chambers is one of Tenterfield’s most prominent historic buildings. First built in 1884 as the original Council Chambers and in 1939, underwent major renovations and the addition of an art deco facade. The building has now been restored into a country retreat with two self contained luxury suites.
If you are craving for a cosy romantic weekend of log fires, great wine and local produce in a beautiful historic country town, Tenterfield may be exactly what you are looking for. Abundant local wineries and beautiful National Parks surround Tenterfield and make a great day out but if you prefer walking distance there is an array of boutique shops and cafes to visit. They can provide itineraries to suit your needs – whether they are climbing mountains or sipping wine by a fire or searching for the perfect antique table. They also cater for motorcycle tourists and can recommend many great rides.
