Profile
We are a family run resort with a licensed restaurant & with on site accommodation. This is why our venue is perfect for functions, conferences & weddings, as we have it all on one large property. Find us in the clouds on Tamborine Mountain, just up from the mountains famous Gallery Walk where you will find an array of shops, cellar doors & more.
Here at our Mountain Manor (formally known as Bungunyah Manor), we are making some exciting new changes. Follow us on Instagram and Facebook to keep in touch. We are looking to provide a family friendly environment for both locals and tourists alike. Our restaurant has a new menu, and if you follow our family on social media, you will be able to see our progress with some of these new changes we will be doing to the property.
Opening Hours
The Manor is open 7 days a week. Our and Restaurant is open with an All Day Breakfast & Lunch menu available from 7:30am to 3pm everyday. We are also open until late for Dinner on Friday & Saturday nights. Of course you are also welcome to pop in for cake and coffee or beer/wine and nibbles through these hours too.
Location
Tamborine Mountain is located behind Movieworld in the Gold Coast Hinterland. We are in between both airports approximately a 1 hour drive from both the Brisbane Airport and the Gold Coast Airport in Coolangatta. We are around a half hour to 40 minute drive inland from beaches, and are surrounded by tropical rainforests (making a perfect picturesque setting for a quiet getaway or romantic wedding).
The Manor is perfectly situated close to bush walks, craft shops, a cheese factory & brewery, and only a couple of minutes drive from a few wineries and a distillery. There are two unique buildings on site our restaurant (a charming CIRCA 1882 building), and another behind, with Victorian style suites in our 16 room Motel. How to get to The Manor
If travelling from interstate or overseas, we highly recommend hiring a car for your time on Tamborine Mountain. This will give you freedom to explore the plateau with its many hidden treasures. If you are heading South from Brisbane or the Sunshine Coast, or North from the Gold Coast via the M1, take exit 57 on to Tamborine-Oxenford road. Follow this over the John Muntz Causeway at Coomera, past Coles and all the way up to the top of the mountain. You will reach a round-a-bout with a big Fig Tree in the middle this is where you want to turn right on to Gallery Walk. You will find us straight past the second round-a-bout, on the top of the hill, opposite the Telstra Tower and Witches Chase Cheese Factory. There are 3 other main roads that you can access the mountain via, however, most people find this the easiest, & it will bring you out at the right end of the mountain for you.
